VTS P.O.G. outputs audio by default to your default audio source (commonly either your headphones or speakers). While this may work in most cases, when you need some more control on the audio management you need to start doing some audio routing.
Heres a list of different types of auio routings, any of them is as valid as the other and usefulness may vary depending on your setup
Virtual Audio Cables #
One of the easiest yet trickiest way to audio route VTS P.O.G. is through virtual audio cables. In VTS P.O.G. you can change to which source it will output to by going to Techinal > Audio and selecting the output device to be used.
Here you will see listed all your available audio output devices in your PC, if you have already some audio source you are using and capturing in your streaming program of choice just click select and that’s about it. If you don’t, then we highly recommend downloading Virtul Audio Cable
Once installed, select it as the audio output on VTS P.O.G. and then click Select Device. Afterwards you need to go to OBS/Stream Labs/Streaming program of choice and add a new audio output capture source.
Once there just select virtual audio cable as the source as shown bellow
With that, your streaming program of choice will be able to record it. But you wont be able to hear it now! Thankfully is easily fixable by going to advance audio properties and enable the source to be on “Monitor and output” as shown bellow.
Make sure in your streaming program of choice the audio monitor device is something you can listen too! Usually your headphones or speakers.
OBS Application Audio Capture (BETA) #
For OBS you can also use their Application Audio Capture (BETA) source, though you will first need to go to VTS P.O.G. and enable Allow OBS Application capture over at Technical > Audio
Once enabled, go to OBS and add a new source of Application Audio Capture (BETA)
Once added, select for it VTS P.O.G. audio player as shown bellow
If it doesn’t show, play a quick tts and it should pop up!
OBS Application Audio Output Capture #
Though of similar name, this is through an OBS plugin! You can download the plugin here
Once downloaded, add the corresponding source.
And select VTS-POG-Helper.exe as show bellow
Remember to click Add executable ! Or it wont work, should look like this once done.
And that’s it!
