VTS P.O.G. comes ready to go out of the box. Right after it launches, you should be able to hear brian’s voice by clicking on the play text button
If you cant, it may be an issue with the default audio setup. We use desktop audio by default to play the audio, but you can finetune the audio output used by going to Technical > Audio in VTS P.O.G. itself. We go more in detail over the process on Audio setup
TTS System #
VTS P.O.G. uses different tts systems to generate the voices, and we are always on the lookout for new and fun services and options to add. Hermes a list of the current ones we support, but we highly recommend to go by each of them and try them on the program (NOTE: some of them may need third party accounts and setups in order to work)
- Stream Elements: free, comes out of the box ready to use without the need of further setup
- Windows: free, uses the local tts voices installed in your pc. In order to add more voices to it, windows audio/voice packs need to be installed.
- TTS Monster: freemium, needs to set up an account at tts.monster. When done, tts.monster provides a limited amount of free tokens for ai voices, further than that you need to buy one of their premium plans. Free tokens get reset every month. Support sound bytes mid sentence
- Amazon Polly: you need to set up an account, free for one year pay what you use afterwards. Similar selection of voices to stream elements, but they allow the use of ssml modifiers on the voices to produce fun effects.
- Tiktok: selection of tiktok tts voices. They have a limited character limit but they have some high quality voices with quite unique intonations.
- Eleven Labs: freemium service, an account must be set up for this. The free monthly tokens are quite limited but the quality and speed of voice generaiton is quite high. Allows for custom voices to be set up on their website
- Animalese: tts voice generation based on animal crossing speech pattern.
- SAM Software Automatic Mouth: weird old tts generation system, its the one used in Faith the unholy trinity
Tangia TTS #
We also have official integration with Tangia tts systems! While tangia overlay is open, it will auto connect to VTS P.O.G. to play the audio to it so your pet can take advantage of the wide selection of Tangia Voices. Check Tangia at https://www.tangia.co/
